Adam Hill Biography, Parliamentary Candidate for Brecon, Radnor and Cwm Tawe

Adam Hill is a dedicated family man residing in Mid Wales with his wife and young son. He has established strong connections within the rural community, advocating for the needs and concerns of those who depend on it.

A Diverse Background in Service and Industry

Having served in the Royal Navy as an aircraft engineer until 2012, Adam transitioned into a career in security and agriculture. His experience includes managing large security deployments and working as a herdsman on dairy farms throughout Somerset and Dorset. This diverse background equips him with a unique perspective on the challenges faced by rural areas.

Advocating for Essential Services

Adam is committed to supporting and enhancing the rural way of life, emphasizing the importance of access to healthcare, education, and police support. He recognizes that rural communities often bear the brunt of budget cuts, resulting in the closure of minor injury units, doctor surgeries, and air ambulance services. Furthermore, reductions in police stations and on-duty officers have led to a reactive approach to service provision, contrasting sharply with the preventative measures seen in urban areas.

A Voice for Farmers

As a passionate advocate for the farming community, Adam understands the daily struggles farmers endure. He firmly believes that the health of the entire country is intertwined with the vitality of its farms. Adam questions why farmers should be pressured to convert their land to woodlands and rewilding initiatives when they possess the expertise to maintain productive farms. He emphasizes that sacrificing potential winter feed is not the solution.

Committed to Rural Advocacy

Adam Hill is devoted to ensuring that the voices of rural communities are heard. He stands firmly for rural living and the rights of those who contribute to the agricultural landscape, promising to champion their causes with unwavering dedication.
