Richard Langridge

Richard Langridge is a lifelong resident of Witney, where he lives with his wife, Alexandra. He has deep roots in the community and has dedicated much of his life to public service and local business. For the past 26 years, Richard has successfully managed his own accountancy firm, providing financial guidance and support to individuals and businesses in the area.

Extensive Experience in Public Service

Richard served as a District Councillor in West Oxfordshire for 15 years, from 2007 to 2022. Initially elected as a Conservative, he later served as an Independent, advocating for his constituents with integrity and dedication. During his tenure, Richard held every role on the Council's Cabinet, except for Housing, demonstrating his versatility and commitment to public service. Additionally, he contributed to county-wide decision-making as an Oxfordshire County Councillor for four years.

Former Conservative Constituency Chairman

In his role as Conservative Constituency Chairman, Richard worked closely with the former Prime Minister, David Cameron, during his time as the Member of Parliament for Witney. His experience in this role provided him with a unique insight into the workings of government and the challenges facing the community.

A New Direction with Reform UK

Richard's political journey took a turn when he realized that the Conservative Party no longer aligned with his values. He believes that Parliament has become disconnected from the people it serves and that the Conservative Party has strayed from its core principles. Richard is now a proud supporter of Reform UK, a party he believes embodies the values, ethics, and policies necessary to lead the country forward.
