Kirsty Walmsley Biography, Parliamentary Candidate for Clwyd East
Kirsty Walmsley serves as the National Campaign Manager for Reform UK in Wales and has been chosen as the parliamentary candidate for Clwyd East. Educated at Llanfyllin High School, Kirsty gained a foundational understanding of the Welsh language. Now residing in Llangollen, a town brimming with cherished childhood memories, Kirsty lives with her husband Jonathon and their two children, Emily and Isaac. She envisions her children enjoying the same river picnics and paddling in the Dee that she cherished.
With a diverse background spanning from her family's carpet and flooring business to owning her own furniture business, Kirsty brings both entrepreneurial and parental perspectives to her candidacy. Her commitment to children, families, and education is reflected in keynote speeches delivered at Reform UK's national conferences. Additionally, Kirsty has invaluable political experience gained as a caseworker for three Members of Parliament, where she honed her skills in resolving local issues—a role she finds deeply fulfilling.
Kirsty believes politics should be deeply rooted in everyday life, not detached from it. Her compassionate nature drives her to advocate tirelessly for individuals, communities, and the country at large.
