Mark Griffiths Biography, Parliamentary Candidate for Aberafan Maesteg
Mark Griffiths, 57, has dedicated most of his life to South Wales, where he resides with his partner and eight children. Born in Blackmill near Bridgend, Mark grew up in a large family amidst the decline of the coal industry that once sustained the region. Despite the industry's collapse, Mark forged a career in local engineering until 2003 when he faced redundancy due to EU incentives favoring relocation abroad.
Transitioning to roles aligned with community service, Mark found purpose working for the community ambulance service and later with a homeless charity in Neath. His current role as a garage fitter has also aligned with his passion for motorcycle racing, where he has achieved notable success over three decades. Mark holds titles such as Welsh Hill Climb Champion, Ultimate Street Bike Champion, and has set three British land speed records at Pendine Sands.
Mark Griffiths is driven by a desire to represent Aberafan and Maesteg in the upcoming General Election under the Reform UK banner. He believes that traditional political classes have neglected the concerns of everyday people, particularly on issues like uncontrolled immigration and economic priorities. Mark stands firm on empowering local communities and restoring accountability in governance, aiming to ensure a better future for the next generation.
Vote Mark Griffiths and Reform UK for a voice that understands the realities facing our communities today.
