Helen Hims Biography for Wells and Mendip Hills

Helen Hims, originally from Kent, began her professional journey in Sussex, where she worked for the NHS and the airline industry at Gatwick. Relocating to Somerset in the mid-1990s, she has made her home in the picturesque village of Shipham. There, Helen and her husband raised a large family and successfully managed a thriving local business.

Political Career and Achievements

Helen has been actively involved in politics since 2012. Her political career includes running as the Parliamentary Candidate for UKIP in the Wells constituency during the 2015 election, where she achieved a commendable third place. Additionally, Helen served as both the Wells Branch Chairman and Somerset County Chairman for UKIP.

In 2016, Helen played a pivotal role during the EU referendum as the Somerset group leader for both Leave.EU and Vote Leave. Her efforts continued in 2019 when she became the South West Regional Manager for The Brexit Party, now known as Reform UK, contributing significantly to their success in the European elections.
