Paul Morton Biography, Parliamentary Candidate for North East Hampshire

Paul Morton, a dedicated father and active community member, has emerged as a passionate advocate for political reform in the UK. His journey into politics was driven by a profound awareness that existing political choices do not resonate with the views of many people he knows. Concerned about the future of the country and the impact of political decisions on his children's lives, Paul decided to take action.

Born in Scotland and residing in England for the past 25 years, Paul brings a unique perspective to the political landscape. His upbringing by a single mother, who was a teacher, instilled in him the values of hard work and resilience. Paul’s journey from a modest background to a stable life in the picturesque town of Fleet is a testament to his dedication and perseverance.

Paul is deeply involved in his community and church, even playing Father Christmas at his children’s school. His wife, a naturalised UK immigrant, and his extensive international work experience provide him with a broad understanding of global and local issues. Despite this, Paul firmly believes in the democratic decision to leave the European Union and criticizes elected officials for failing to capitalize on the opportunities presented by Brexit.

Disillusioned with the major political parties, Paul observes that they impose more rules, regulations, and taxes while delivering less to the citizens. He has witnessed local businesses struggling under governmental excesses and feels a personal duty to address these issues. Paul attributes the community's suffering, particularly under the weight of inflation, to poor governmental decisions and a lack of effective opposition.

Paul is passionate about the inherent qualities of the British people and the potential of the country, which he believes current leaders have ignored and undermined. He joined Reform UK because it comprises successful individuals with professional skills and real-world experience, unlike career politicians disconnected from their constituents.

Since the last election, Reform UK has fielded 620 candidates nationwide, demonstrating the party’s capability to effect change. Paul stands by Reform UK's "contract with you," which offers common-sense solutions and a clear vision for the future. With his background, beliefs, and commitment, Paul Morton is dedicated to delivering positive change for the UK.
