Paul Morton Biography, Parliamentary Candidate for North East Hampshire

Over recent years, Paul Morton has become acutely aware of the disconnect between the political choices available and the views held by many of his peers. He believes that political decisions profoundly impact the future of the country and the well-being of his children. As a dedicated father, Morton felt compelled to step into the political arena rather than leaving critical decisions to others.

Introducing Paul Morton: Background and Beliefs

Born in Scotland and having resided in England for the past 25 years, Paul Morton brings a unique perspective to the Reform Party. Raised by a single mother who worked as a teacher during the 1980s, Morton’s humble beginnings have instilled in him a strong work ethic. He has dedicated himself to providing for his family, which now resides in the picturesque town of Fleet. Active in both the local community and church, Morton also plays Father Christmas at his children’s school, showcasing his commitment to family and community life. His wife, a naturalised UK immigrant, and his international work experience further shape his understanding of global and local issues.

A Call for Change in UK Politics

Paul Morton has grown disillusioned with the major UK political parties, which he believes favor increased rules, regulations, and taxes while offering diminished benefits to citizens. Observing the struggles faced by local businesses and the community due to poor government decisions and insufficient opposition, Morton feels a strong sense of duty to address these challenges.

Advocating for a New Direction

Morton is disheartened by how current leaders have overlooked the country’s strengths and instead fostered division. His decision to join the Reform Party stems from its commitment to real-world experience and practical solutions. Unlike career politicians, Reform Party members, including Morton, possess professional skills and a genuine connection to their constituents.

Reform Party’s Vision for the Future

Since the last election, Reform Party has mobilized 620 candidates nationwide, demonstrating their capacity to effect change. Their fully funded “contract with you” outlines sensible solutions and a clear plan for the future, reflecting Morton’s commitment to delivering tangible improvements for the country.
