Patrick Seargeant Biography for Middlesbrough and Thornaby East
A Life Witnessing Decline
Patrick Seargeant, the Reform UK Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Middlesbrough and Thornaby East, was born at James Cook Hospital in 1998. Throughout his life, he has observed the gradual, distressing decline of both his country and his hometown, driven by a series of corrupt and inept administrations. The once-great nation celebrated in history books now seems a distant memory, replaced by a reality marked by widespread disillusionment and defeat.
The Decline of Teesside
Teesside exemplifies this decline. Patrick has grown weary of Labour politicians who endlessly lament the neglect of the area, blaming external factors such as the Tories in Westminster. While there is some truth to the notion that Westminster politicians often overlook former industrial heartlands, the real damage has been inflicted by the Labour administrations. Their mismanagement has driven the town to its knees, and they appear to resist any meaningful change out of fear of losing their entrenched power.
A Vision for Regeneration
Patrick believes that Teesside’s fate is not sealed. Having lived in various parts of the country, he has seen successful regeneration firsthand. He envisions Middlesbrough having its own iconic streets like Regent Street or Grey Street, and he is determined to revive the town’s historic spirit. Inspired by the industrious heritage of Ironopolis, Patrick is committed to transforming Middlesbrough into a town—or even a city—that can be proudly showcased. His disillusionment with the Tories' broken promises in 2019 has only strengthened his resolve to drive real change.
Commitment to Middlesbrough and Beyond
Patrick is running for parliament not just out of frustration with the current state of affairs but out of a deep love for his hometown. He aims to leverage his diverse career in education, engineering, and business management, alongside his academic background from Durham and Cambridge Universities, to uplift Middlesbrough and Britain as a whole. As Member of Parliament for Middlesbrough and Thornaby East, Patrick is dedicated to building a community and a country that citizens can truly take pride in.
