Craig Birtwistle, a 36-year-old resident of Worsley, has deep roots in the region. Born in Warrington, he spent his early years there before relocating to Timperley with his mother and grandmother. After meeting his wife at 24, Craig settled in Swinton for five years before moving to Worsley in February 2020.

Craig believes it’s time for change in the government. Frustrated with the stagnation caused by the traditional two-party system, he is committed to bringing new perspectives and effective solutions to Worsley and Eccles South.

   Craig plans to recruit more police officers to ensure the community feels safe and secure.

   Craig proposes increasing the tax threshold from £12,500 to £20,000, allowing residents to keep more of their hard-earned money.
