Vic Applegate is honored to have the opportunity to represent Shrewsbury as a candidate for Member of Parliament. With years of experience as the Shropshire Area Co-ordinator for Reform UK and a background in the Royal Marines, Vic has dedicated himself to serving his community. Since transitioning from military service, he has successfully established four businesses, demonstrating his commitment to hard work and leadership.
A Commitment to Serving the People
Vic firmly believes that politicians should prioritize the needs and interests of the people, rather than pursuing their own agendas. His dedication to public service is driven by a desire to address the real concerns of Shrewsbury residents. If elected, Vic's primary focus will be on tackling key issues such as improving the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, addressing river pollution, and enhancing flood management for the River Severn.

Holding Past Governments Accountable
Vic Applegate acknowledges the disappointment many feel with the performance of successive Labour and Conservative governments. He points out the Labour government's failure to manage finances effectively, leaving a note claiming there was no money left after the 2010 election. The Conservatives, he argues, have failed to address pressing issues and risk further economic decline, with Labour's potential return to Europe posing additional concerns for the country.
A Call for New Leadership
The dissatisfaction with current political leadership is clear, and Vic Applegate believes it is time for a change. With a clear vision for Shrewsbury's future, he urges voters to choose a new direction.
