Callum Daniel Bushrod is a dedicated advocate for hard-working individuals and pensioners. Having lived in the constituency for several years, Callum recently moved to a nearby area. He joined Reform UK to address the lack of political representation for those who work tirelessly to support their families, yet feel neglected by traditional parties. Callum believes that both Labour and the Conservatives have repeatedly funded their extravagant policies through high taxation, without providing adequate value for the public services these taxes are meant to support. With a background in policing and current experience in the finance sector, he brings a unique perspective to the table.

Strong Foundations in Employment Law and Workers’ Rights

Callum has undertaken two degrees, one of which is in Employment Law, equipping him with a robust understanding of workers' rights. Unlike the Conservatives and Labour, Callum advocates for a balanced relationship between businesses and trade unions. He believes that neither entity should wield excessive power, as this disrupts the equilibrium needed for a healthy economy. The recent strikes and subpar employee benefits are clear indicators of this imbalance, which he is committed to addressing.

A Fresh Perspective in Politics

Although Callum is new to the political arena, he believes that this fresh perspective is exactly what is needed. He has no intention of making politics his lifelong career, but he recognizes the importance of contributing his voice now. Career politicians have, in his view, failed to deliver for the public for far too long. With his experience in the private sector, where innovation and value for money are paramount, Callum is determined to bring a much-needed business-minded approach to politics and make a positive difference for his community

With his background in policing, Callum is particularly concerned about the rise in anti-social behavior and the lack of accountability within the current system. The devolution of the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) Office to the Mayor has diminished direct oversight and effectiveness.
