Antony Love Biography, Parliamentary Candidate for Ipswich

Antony Love, born in Shoreham-by-Sea, West Sussex in June 1955, brings a diverse background to his role as the Reform UK Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for the Ipswich constituency. Raised in a naval family, Antony's upbringing took him to various ports along the south coast, instilling in him a sense of adaptability and resilience from an early age.

His formative years were spent at The Royal Hospital School in Holbrook, Suffolk, where he underwent a transformative journey, transitioning from a youthful rebel to a responsible individual. Gifted with a talent for mental arithmetic, Antony ventured into the world of gambling, eventually working at prestigious establishments like the Playboy Casino in London.

After a successful career in the casino industry, Antony transitioned to entrepreneurship, opening his own Licensed Betting Office in Haslemere, Surrey, which marked the beginning of a three-decade-long journey as an independent bookmaker. However, the challenges posed by regulatory burdens and online competition led him to close his last shop in Liphook, Hampshire in August 2018. Relocating to Felixstowe, Antony now runs an antique shop on the town's bustling High Street.

Antony's political journey gained momentum when he was selected to stand for the Brexit Party in the Suffolk Coastal constituency during the 2019 general election. His dedication to engaging with constituents from all walks of life was evident through the establishment of the only Brexit Shop in the country, located in Felixstowe. Despite the Brexit Party standing down many candidates, Antony chose to continue as an Independent, driven by a commitment to represent the disenfranchised.

Observing the discontent among voters, particularly in Ipswich, Antony firmly believes that both Labour and the Conservatives have failed to deliver on their promises, especially regarding Brexit. As the Reform Party's candidate for Ipswich, he vows to champion the interests of the people and hold the government accountable for its actions.

Outside of politics, Antony is in a long-term relationship and has three adult children. His mother's longstanding involvement with The League of Friends for Ipswich Hospital inspired him to organize annual football competitions to support the cause, in collaboration with Ipswich Town FC and Orwell Park School.

Antony Love is honored to represent the Reform Party in Ipswich, committed to advocating for the people and bringing about positive change.
