Tony Gould is the dedicated parliamentary candidate for Central Suffolk and North Ipswich. With a career in politics spanning nearly a decade, Tony first entered the political arena in 2015 as a UKIP candidate in the Ipswich local elections. His experience continued as he managed the Ipswich Brexit referendum for Vote Leave in 2016. Tony further demonstrated his commitment by standing for UKIP in the 2017 General Election, representing the Brexit Party in the 2019 General Election, and running as an MEP candidate in 2019.
Political Experience and Mission
Previously a Conservative ward councillor in Ipswich, Tony resigned to focus on his mission with Reform UK. His decision aligns with his dedication to offering a credible alternative to the Labour-controlled Borough Council. With the General Election scheduled for July 4th, Tony is calling on the support of local voters. Despite Nigel Farage's efforts to enhance the party's profile, Tony emphasizes the importance of connecting with every voter to establish Reform UK as a viable choice.

Tony Gould’s background is rooted in science and technology, with a distinguished career at the British Telecom research establishment in Martlesham Heath. Now retired, he is committed to addressing the challenges facing the country, which he believes have been exacerbated by ineffective government policies over recent decades. These issues include uncontrolled immigration, inadequate housing, and the struggles within the NHS, education system, and energy sector.
Commitment to Local Issues
A staunch supporter of traditional Christian cultural values, Tony advocates for integrity and hard work. He supports British farming for food security while opposing the construction of offshore power pylons across the countryside, arguing that energy and grid security can be achieved through alternative methods.
Professional Expertise and Community Involvement
Before retiring, Tony was a lead technology consultant in optical fibre submarine cable technology, working with major companies such as British Telecom, France Telecom, AT&T (US), and KDD (Japan). In his leisure time, Tony has been actively involved in community work as the chairman of a twinning association with France and Germany and as a board member of Eurojumelages, a European organization.
