John Burmicz Biography, Parliamentary Candidate for Hertford and Stortford

John Burmicz, a reform UK PPC, hails from North London and currently resides in Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire, alongside his wife. With a background in Chemistry from London University, he now oversees a thriving enterprise specializing in Pharmaceutical testing equipment.

Burmicz's lineage is marked by tales of resilience and service. His mother, a survivor of World War II, lent her skills as a dress designer to Susan Small, while his father, of Polish descent, endured the hardships of a Siberian Gulag before finding his way to serve in both the Carpathian Lancers and the RAF during the war. These familial stories instilled in Burmicz a profound sense of duty and honor from an early age.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Burmicz is deeply involved in local governance, having previously served as Mayor of Sawbridgeworth. He has actively supported charitable causes such as the RAF ATC Squadron: No.: 309, reflecting his admiration for the life-changing impact of inspirational leadership on young individuals.

Moreover, his dedication extends to the welfare of the elderly, having served as a trustee of a local Day Centre. Burmicz tirelessly fundraised and sought sponsorship to ensure the center's continued operation, recognizing its vital role in providing essential services to the community's elderly population.

Burmicz's commitment to service also manifests in his involvement with the Guild in the City of London, where he contributes to preserving heritage and supporting those in need through various initiatives, including soup kitchens and youth training programs.

Together with his wife, Burmicz actively supports the Battle of Britain Memorial Fund in Capel-le-Ferne, emphasizing the importance of honoring those who sacrificed for freedom. As a trustee of the Polish Airforce Family and Friends Charity (PAFF), he annually lays a wreath in July, ensuring the legacy of the fallen is never forgotten.

"Duty" and "Honor" serve as guiding principles in Burmicz's life, driving his unwavering commitment to community service and philanthropy.
