William Wright Biography for Folkestone and Hythe
William Wright, a 62-year-old father of four, has spent most of his life in the UK, with brief stints in Norway and Qatar. With a career spanning 41 years, Wright has dedicated himself to various roles, currently serving as a part-time Ambulance Care Assistant with the Red Cross.
Disillusionment with Mainstream Politics
In 2019, William, like many northern Labour voters, supported Boris Johnson's Conservatives, partly due to Nigel Farage's decision to withdraw Brexit Party candidates. However, William's perspective has shifted significantly. He now perceives no meaningful difference between the Conservative and Labour parties, criticizing both for their tax-and-spend policies and authoritarian tendencies that he believes will harm the lowest-paid workers.
Advocacy for Reform UK

He supports the party’s focus on personal freedoms, lower taxes, and controlled immigration. Though he acknowledges the challenges, William believes that Reform UK’s vision is the most credible option available.
