Howard Cox Biography for Dover and Deal
Howard Cox, a longtime Tory voter of 50 years, found himself disillusioned by the Conservative Party's departure from its traditional principles. Disenchanted with the lack of emphasis on low taxes, a small state, sound defense, effective border control, sensible transport, strong law and order, and support for small businesses, he sought an alternative. Witnessing Tory Natalie Elphicke's defection to Labour further cemented his belief that mainstream parties were failing their constituents.
Enter Reform UK, the beacon of common sense politics. Howard Cox saw in Reform UK the embodiment of his values and the only party truly prioritizing voters' interests. Standing as their candidate in the Dover and Deal constituency, Cox brings with him a wealth of experience from his involvement in the London mayoral campaign, where his efforts secured Reform's Alex Wilson a place in the Assembly.
Despite his reluctance to enter politics, Cox's dedication to public affairs advocacy is unwavering. His decade-long commitment to the FairFuelUK.com Campaign has saved motorists, bikers, van drivers, cabbies, and truckers over £200bn in planned duty and VAT tax hikes since 2010. His proactive stance against fuel tax policies prevented potential economic downturns, shielding the UK from recession, unemployment spikes, and business collapses.
Reform UK, aligning with Cox's values, pledges to reduce fuel duty by 20p per litre, further illustrating their commitment to easing the burden on everyday citizens.
In Dover and Deal, Cox stands as the sole candidate with a proven track record of bolstering the economy, curbing inflation, and alleviating the cost-of-living crisis. With an unwavering dedication to improving the lives of his constituents, Cox promises to be a voice of reason and pragmatism in parliament.
