Tristram Kennedy Harper Biography, Parliamentary Candidate for Ashford
Tristram Kennedy Harper, an advocate for preserving democracy, free speech, and freedom, is dedicated to instigating much-needed changes in the UK through his affiliation with Reform. As a candidate for Ashford, he aims to become the honest and trustworthy representative, addressing concerns that have been voiced but not adequately addressed by the current government.
His platform encompasses safeguarding borders, reducing taxes, fostering economic growth, redirecting resources from Net Zero initiatives, championing free speech, and upholding patriotism. Specifically for Ashford, his agenda includes revitalizing the town center, restoring Ashford International's prominence, addressing housing needs, enhancing the lives of senior citizens, and nurturing opportunities for the youth.
With a wealth of experience in local politics, Tristram served as a councillor for the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham from 1998 to 2002. Having resided in East Kent for several years, he presently works as an in-house solicitor, which has afforded him opportunities to work internationally, including stints in The Netherlands and China.
In his personal life, Tristram is a devoted family man, married with two children attending university, and a beloved small terrier. He is an avid swimmer, both in open water and indoor pools, training with a club thrice weekly. Additionally, he enjoys cycling and has completed numerous long-distance rides, including the Newcastle to Edinburgh route. While he regularly visits the United States to see family members who have relocated there, his heart lies in traveling across the United Kingdom to visit family scattered throughout the country.
