Jane Anne Duckworth Biography, Parliamentary Candidate for Milton Keynes North
Meet Jane Anne Duckworth, a dedicated individual with a rich background rooted in community engagement and entrepreneurship. Originally from Huntingdon, Jane's journey led her to West Bletchley at the age of 6, where she was raised and educated.
Early in her career, Jane demonstrated remarkable leadership skills, rising to become one of the youngest Managers at Watts Industrial Tyres by the age of 18. However, her true passion lay in sales and face-to-face interactions, which she pursued by venturing into self-employment within her family's Chemical business. It was during this time that she met her husband, a Dairy Farmer from Haversham, and together they cultivated a thriving business, supplying fresh milk from their family farm to a loyal customer base.
In 2006, seeking new experiences and educational opportunities for their two daughters, Jane and her family relocated to Spain. There, they embraced the local culture, enjoying outdoor activities and community involvement, including amateur dramatics.
Returning to the UK in 2012 to support their children's educational pursuits, Jane resumed her active involvement in various projects. She found fulfillment in her part-time role with Home Instead Care, an organization dedicated to providing care for the elderly in their homes. Through her networking efforts, Jane facilitated connections between local and national charities, advocating for the needs of the elderly and orchestrating support through initiatives like MK Bus Shelter and MK Act.
Inspired by her firsthand experiences and driven by a desire to enact positive change, Jane became increasingly involved in local politics. Her passion for addressing issues affecting the elderly and her commitment to community welfare have propelled her into the political arena, where she seeks to make a meaningful difference as a Reform UK PPC.
