Early Life and Education

Stuart James Marchant was born in Croydon in January 1981 and spent his formative years in Orpington, Kent. He attended Darrick Wood Secondary School and Orpington College. His father, a London native, served as a police officer, while his mother, originally from Carmarthen, pursued a career in teaching.

Early Career

Stuart began his career with a role as a checkout operator at Tesco during his college years. Following his studies, he moved into a retail position at PC World. In September 2001, he shifted his focus to the private parking sector, where his dedication and skills led to swift promotions.

Professional Growth and Relocation

In 2005, Stuart embraced an opportunity to work in Wales, reconnecting with the region where his mother had grown up. Based in Swansea for several years, he returned to the South East in 2008 to manage a significant portfolio of car parks. By 2020, Stuart had accumulated a wealth of experience, holding diverse positions and collaborating effectively within various teams.

Current Endeavours

Stuart currently operates a small business near Carmarthen, allowing him to engage deeply with the local community. In addition to his professional pursuits, he is an avid traveler, exploring global destinations and enhancing his cultural understanding. Stuart is also a recreational hockey player and has recently taken up para-gliding.

Political Engagement

Stuart's political journey began in 2009 with the Conservative Party. Earlier this year, he joined the Reform Party, driven by his support for Brexit and its potential benefits for South West Wales. Stuart is confident that Reform UK is best positioned to leverage these positive impacts for the region.
