Raj Forhad Biography for Ilford South
Raj Forhad is a dedicated advocate and community leader with a deep-rooted commitment to serving the public and amplifying their voices. From an early age, Raj envisioned a career dedicated to the betterment of society, striving to make a meaningful impact wherever he lived.
Raj has been happily married to Shahana for over 12 years, and together they are parents to two children, Zayan and Arash. His journey as a legal migrant in the UK has been marked by perseverance and resilience. Raj has adhered to the laws and contributed significantly through taxes, investing all his resources to complete an MSc at the University of Central Lancashire. In 2011, he left Preston with just £5 to his name, but his determination and innovative mindset have propelled him to success.
Raj’s exceptional contributions to the UK Digital Sector earned him recognition as an Exceptional Talent by Tech Nation, UK. He competed against thousands of high-profile candidates, including PhD holders from top universities, to achieve this distinction. Raj is likely the first Bangladeshi to receive such an accolade, and through Tier 1 Exceptional Talent and High Skilled Migrant routes, he has become a British citizen.
Currently, Raj serves as an Enterprise Architect Consultant for Tier 1 banks in the UK and manages several small businesses. His political involvement dates back to his youth in Dhaka, Bangladesh, where he campaigned for the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP). In May 2022, Raj stood as a Conservative candidate for the Chadwell ward, Redbridge.

Why Raj Forhad is Standing as an MP Candidate with Reform UK

The current political landscape, including the Conservatives, Labour, and LibDem, lacks the vision and determination required to restore the country’s greatness.
Raj is running as the Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Ilford South Constituency in Redbridge with Reform UK. He is motivated by his frustration with the current state of affairs, including high inflation, soaring mortgage rates, the introduction of ULEZ, rising crime rates, and deteriorating local services. Raj aims to tackle these issues head-on and transform Ilford South into a thriving, well-managed constituency.
