Darren Selkus for Hertsmere in General Elections 2024
Darren Selkus Biography for Hertsmere
A New Voice for Reform UK
Tired of the traditional two-party system and politicians who fail to deliver on their promises? Darren Selkus, a proud resident of Hertsmere, is stepping up as the new Reform UK Spokesperson.
Holding Politicians Accountable
With the next General Election just a year away, Darren Selkus is eager to challenge Oliver Dowden MP and hold not only the Conservative Government but the entire Westminster establishment accountable. He believes that without Reform UK, democracy and choice are at risk. In his view, there is minimal difference in policy between the Conservatives and Labour parties.
Advocating for Real Change
Darren Selkus stands firmly behind Reform UK’s commitment to a smaller State, where individuals have more control over their lives. He advocates for ending the "Net Zero" policies, which he argues make the nation poorer and less competitive while merely shifting CO2 emissions elsewhere. He supports reducing taxes, accelerating economic growth, controlling immigration, and radically reforming public services, including the NHS, to ensure they are fit for purpose.
A Commitment to Transformation
Though Darren Selkus is not a career politician and has no desire to become one, he is driven by a strong commitment to change. As a British Army veteran and CEO of UV Group Plc, his experience in leadership and service equips him to represent and advocate for the people of Hertsmere effectively. Darren is married, with two children and two dogs, and his personal experiences enrich his perspective on politics.
From Brexit Enthusiast to Reform Advocate
Darren’s political engagement began after the 2016 Brexit vote result was seemingly ignored. He joined the Brexit Party and was selected as the Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Epping Forest. Now, his mission is to "Change Politics For Good" and drive the necessary reforms to make a real difference.
