Tim Wheeler Biography, Parliamentary Candidate for Uxbridge and South Ruislip

Early Life and Career Beginnings

Tim Wheeler was born in Eastcote and attended Southbourne Comprehensive School, where he achieved an “O” level in English. His early career involved multiple jobs, including roles as a Toilet Cleaner, Floor Cleaner, Butcher, and Baggage Handler at Heathrow Airport. Through hard work and a bit of luck, Tim has achieved significant success in life. He is married and has a son.

Union Involvement and Political Engagement

In the early 1980s, Tim Wheeler worked as a Baggage Handler at Heathrow Airport and was an active member of the Transport and General Workers' Union (T&GWU). He deeply valued the protections provided by the trade union and was inspired by the vision of the Conservative Party at the time. Tim joined the local Young Conservatives (YC) group, eventually becoming Chairman and leading the group to become the largest in the country.

Commitment to Frontline Workers and Public Safety

Tim has a strong commitment to supporting frontline professionals and police officers, believing they must be properly paid and supported to prevent societal decline. He advocates for prioritizing these essential workers to ensure the stability and safety of society.

Advocacy for Young Working-Class People

Tim is dedicated to improving opportunities for young working-class individuals. He emphasizes the importance of education, skills development, financial management, and self-belief. He believes in guiding young people towards achievable goals and providing the support he wished he had during his own formative years.
