Samantha Goggin has called Surrey Heath home for over 30 years. Born in Farnham, Surrey, in the 1960s, Samantha's early life was shaped by global experiences due to her father's career in the British Army. After a decade of living in London for work, she settled in Bagshot, where she raised her three now-adult children.

Dedication to Local Community and Education

Samantha's commitment to her community is evident through her extensive involvement in local initiatives. In the late 1990s, she served as Chair of the Bagshot Playing Fields Association, working to preserve green spaces and keep leisure activities accessible to the community. Her dedication extended to supporting local organizations such as the Guides and Scouts, Curley Park Rangers Football Club, and various schools. For the past 14 years, she has contributed as a Governor and Trustee to five of Surrey Heath’s most successful state schools.

Political Engagement and Reform Advocacy

In 2019, Samantha joined the Brexit Party, driven by a desire to address her political concerns. Recognizing the ongoing issues with Brexit and the need for stronger British values, she has since aligned with Reform Party UK. Samantha believes that local councils should have more control over funding and decision-making, arguing that the current Government is out of touch with the financial struggles faced by individuals. She advocates for a reform that empowers local authorities and modernizes politics to better serve local communities.

Concerns About NHS and Education

Samantha is deeply concerned about the state of the NHS, citing mismanagement and insufficient staffing as critical issues. She believes that despite the acknowledgment of healthcare workers during the Covid era, their contributions have not been adequately valued. Additionally, Samantha is troubled by the state of local schools, which operate in outdated facilities with limited resources for necessary renovations. She highlights the challenges faced by educators due to outdated pay structures and bureaucratic constraints, stressing the need for reform to address the evolving needs of students.

Commitment to Reform and Community Improvement

With a background in secondary state education, Samantha is dedicated to ensuring that education meets the highest standards and addressing other local issues. She is passionate about driving reform in the UK and believes that Reform UK is uniquely positioned to challenge the status quo. Samantha calls for collective action to achieve meaningful change and urges voters to support Reform UK for a transformative shift in the political landscape.
