Meet Samantha Goggin, a dedicated advocate for Surrey Heath with over 30 years of residency in the area. Born in Farnham, Surrey in the 1960s, Samantha's upbringing as a military child allowed her to explore diverse cultures worldwide. Settling in Bagshot to raise her three children, Samantha's commitment to her community blossomed.
Throughout her children's upbringing, Samantha actively engaged in local initiatives, serving as Chair of the Bagshot Playing Fields Association in the late 1990s. Her dedication to preserving green spaces and ensuring accessible leisure activities earned her recognition. Additionally, Samantha's involvement extended to organizations like the Guides and Scouts, the local Football Club, Curley Park Rangers, and advocating for local schools. For the past 14 years, she has served as a Governor and now a Trustee of five of Surrey Heath’s leading state schools.
In 2019, feeling politically adrift, Samantha found a home in the Brexit Party, recognizing the need for local voices in effecting change. Now, with Brexit unresolved and British values at stake, Samantha has joined Reform Party UK to continue her fight.
Samantha champions devolving funding to local councils, empowering them to address community needs efficiently. She critiques the current government's disconnect from everyday struggles, advocating for a modernized approach to local politics.
