Peter Little Biography, Parliamentary Candidate for Southend West and Leigh
A Lifelong Southend-on-Sea Resident and Experienced Leader
Peter Little has been a dedicated resident of Southend-on-Sea for over 45 years, bringing extensive experience from his roles in various leadership positions. His career includes serving as a non-executive and board-level member at local institutions such as the hospital and a mental health trust, and he is currently involved with a residential and day care company.
Frustrations with Current Political Leadership
Peter Little’s disillusionment with the Conservative Party stems from several key issues. He cites increased taxation, missed opportunities following Brexit, ongoing ties to the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR), a dramatic rise in crime rates, and deteriorating conditions within the NHS as significant concerns. Additionally, he highlights the problems of a broken benefit system and uncontrolled immigration as critical areas of dissatisfaction.
Advocating for Reform UK
Despite acknowledging that the Labour Party may not offer viable solutions, Peter Little believes that Reform UK presents a credible alternative.
