Tommy Short has been a passionate advocate for Wales and its residents for over 13 years, following a significant personal journey. Originally from the UK, Tommy emigrated to New Zealand in 1990. After 15 years abroad, he returned to the UK, settled in Newport, married, and raised two children, fully embracing Welsh culture and community.

Tommy Short's dedication to Wales stems from his concerns over the neglect of Welsh culture and lifestyle by both Westminster and the Senedd. Motivated by this, Tommy is running as an MP for Newport East, believing that the people of Newport, Wales, and the UK deserve more effective representation and change.

As an MP, Tommy Short is committed to opposing excessive taxes on individuals and businesses. He aims to support ordinary working people and address the inequities faced by large corporations.
