Garry Sutherland Biography for Exmouth and Exeter East
Garry Sutherland is honored to be nominated as the Reform UK prospective parliamentary candidate for the newly established constituency of Exmouth and Exeter East. Residing in East Devon with his family, Garry has deep roots in the area.
Military Background and Professional Experience
Garry’s strong connection to the region stems from his military service. He achieved the prestigious green beret at Lympstone and served with 3 Commando Brigade. After his distinguished military career, Garry worked as a technical consultant for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office for a decade, followed by six years with Joint Force Intelligence. He returned to Devon in 2021.
Passion for Sports and Community Engagement
In addition to his professional achievements, Garry is an avid cricketer and indoor rower. His dedication to sports was recognized in February when he won a silver medal at the European Championships in Paris. Garry is eager to engage with the community over the coming months to understand what reform means to the people of Exmouth and Exeter East.
