Mark Simpson Biography, Parliamentary Candidate for Eltham and Chislehurst

Mark Simpson is a passionate advocate for transformative policies that address the everyday challenges facing ordinary people. As a candidate for the London Assembly and the Eltham & Chislehurst parliamentary seat under Reform UK, Mark is dedicated to implementing effective, common-sense solutions for both London and the nation.

Unlike typical career politicians, Mark's journey began in the corporate sector. After graduating, he secured a management role at a major UK retailer. His career then took him to East Asia, where he spent seven years building a successful trading business. This international experience highlighted the vast opportunities available to an independent Britain, solidifying his belief in the necessity of Brexit. Mark's steadfast commitment to Brexit continues to shape his political ideology.

Returning to the UK, Mark settled in The Royal Borough of Greenwich, London. Frustrated by the national failures of The Conservative Party and local shortcomings of the Labour Party, he decided to take action. He ran for Reform UK in the 2021 London Assembly Elections and the 2022 local council elections in Greenwich. Although he did not win, Mark remained optimistic, noting, "I may not have won, but we are building an entirely new party that will succeed in time. Yesterday, more than 4,000 people came out to vote for me, and I'll take that as a start!"

Mark's political beliefs are deeply rooted in his real-world experiences and numerous conversations with voters. He envisions a strong, respected, and independent United Kingdom, prioritizing traditional values that resonate with the majority over trendy, metropolitan ones.

At the national level, Mark advocates for raising the income tax threshold to £20,000, effectively lifting the poorest out of paying taxes and providing an additional £30 per week to those in need. He also calls for Net Zero immigration, arguing that adding a population nearly the size of Birmingham each year is unsustainable. Based on his observations in London, Mark believes that a one-in, one-out immigration approach can help address divided communities and improve assimilation.

Mark Simpson invites voters to join him in shaping a future guided by Reform UK's values, aimed at national prosperity and renewed pride in British identity.
