Terence Longstaff Biography, Parliamentary Candidate for Colchester

Terence Longstaff, born in Colchester, experienced a transient childhood, frequently relocating with his family due to his father's military service. Settling back in Colchester, he completed his secondary education before working on a building site for a year. Driven by a long-held ambition, Terence joined the Army to train as a Mechanical Engineer.

After an illustrious 25-year military career, achieving the rank of Warrant Officer 2nd Class, Terence transitioned to civilian life. He now serves as an Engineering Operations Manager, overseeing the maintenance of wastewater plant sites. This role has afforded him a profound understanding of the environmental challenges posed by outdated infrastructure, particularly the pollution affecting waterways and beaches. Terence advocates for stringent measures compelling water companies to reinvest their profits into upgrading equipment rather than merely paying fines.

A family man, Terence has been happily married to Sharon for 32 years. Together, they have three children and one grandson. In their leisure time, they enjoy exploring the scenic lanes of Colchester on their motorbikes and embarking on dog walks, often navigating around the county's potholes and enjoying local refreshments.

Terence Longstaff is committed to driving change and enhancing the community's well-being through his candidacy for Reform UK.
