Martin Houlden Biography for Bournemouth East
Martin Houlden, a dedicated resident of Bournemouth for over three decades, stands as the Reform UK Prospective Parliamentary Candidate (PPC) for the Bournemouth East constituency. With a strong belief in the importance of a candidate's deep ties to their community and a proven commitment to public service, Martin brings a wealth of experience to the forefront.
Since settling in Bournemouth in 1992, Martin has simultaneously served as Managing Director of a prominent UK technology company while actively engaging in family life, raising his children who attended local schools. His extensive involvement in community initiatives includes serving on the Board of Trustees for a local hospital, where he spearheaded fundraising efforts and secured grants for vital healthcare services across the region. Notably, Martin's advocacy also facilitated the acquisition of essential equipment for special needs children and led to the installation of life-saving devices in ten strategic locations, all through his voluntary contributions.
Driven by his passion for technology, Martin has made significant strides in enhancing accessibility for disabled individuals and parents with young children through the development of leading online platforms. Furthermore, his innovative online scoring system evaluates the charitable spending of the UK's largest organizations, promoting transparency and accountability in the charitable sector.
A prominent figure in the Brexit referendum of 2016, Martin remains staunchly pro-Brexit and is deeply dissatisfied with the Conservative Government's handling of the situation. With a keen interest in economics, he is eager to leverage his expertise to address critical economic issues, from debt and deficit distinctions to inflation metrics. Martin's unwavering dedication to his community and his commitment to driving positive change make him a formidable candidate for parliamentary representation in Bournemouth East.
