Kenneth Morton Biography for Angus and Perthshire Glens

Early Life and Background

Kenneth Morton was born in Kilmaurs and raised in the Cumnock area. His journey has taken him through various regions, including Lancashire and Falkirk, before settling in the picturesque Carse of Gowrie in rural Perthshire. Kenneth lives with his wife, Karen, and their beloved English Springer Spaniel, embodying a deep connection to the rural lifestyle.

Professional Career and Political Involvement

As a Rural Chartered Surveyor and Agricultural Valuer, Kenneth has always been attuned to the needs of his community. His political journey began with Reform UK during the Scottish Elections in 2021, where he stood as a list candidate for Mid Scotland and Fife. Motivated by the mismanagement during the Covid pandemic and its lasting impact on young people, Kenneth became an outspoken critic of the government's response to the crisis. He believes that the rampant spending during this period has led to ongoing economic challenges that continue to affect the nation.

Advocating for Effective Governance

Kenneth has observed the failures of both the UK and Scottish Governments across crucial areas, including energy supply, healthcare, education, housing, and migration. He is determined to bring about change by representing Reform UK once again. Kenneth's commitment stems from a desire for better representation, as he feels that the current political landscape has allowed globalist agendas to overshadow the needs and will of the people.

Standing Up for Change

Believing in the importance of standing up for change, Kenneth often references the saying, "The nail that sticks up is the first to be hammered down." He argues that if no one dares to speak out, the collective voice will be suppressed. Kenneth encourages individuals to stand for, support, or vote for Reform UK, emphasizing that collective action is vital for creating a brighter future.
